I’ve made a point to go to art history and academic talks earlier in the year, but I’ve been increasingly drawn to artist’s talks. These often draw from ideas of materiality connected tangentially to various concepts. Given my interest in perceptions of light and dark, bodies, and referentiality, it makes sense I made a point to see these artists.
