Ebrach Part 2: Klosterkirche Ebrach

The church structure remains gothic, but the interior was highly adorned in the 1700s with stucco, yellow and gold paint, and extravagant sunset-colored marble columns that range from dark and light pink to peach, orange, yellow, and gray . The rose window is a particularly French-leaning gothic design (though the original is now in the Bavarian National Museum in Munich). The Würzburg artists Materno Bossi and Johann Wagner are largely responsible for, respectively, the stucco work and sculptures of the interior, but there are over 40 altars throughout the church.
